Stick to the plan. Jax is right. They have to stick to the plan they made. Tara’s hand will get better, they have to believe that. There is not much left in Charming except dead bodies. They are in a deal that Jax did not initiate. The only time he signed off on it, was after he secured his own escape plan. Jax has to be able to do what he has to whether Tara believes in him or not.
Gemma is in complete control of herself and the situation as always. There is nothing for Unser to do, except wait and see how the cards play out. Gemma is well aware how deadly Clay is and that he will kill her if he has to. Like I said, Gemma is well aware of her surroundings. Clay is losing the club for more reasons than just a drug deal gone bad. It takes belief and trust to lead the ship, and no one believes or trust’s Clay anymore.
Jax can’t let go of the beating Clay gave his mom. He knows now is not the time, but he can’t let it go. Right now he wants to kill Clay. Give it time, he is going to more than want it, I bet.
Gemma is trying so hard to hold onto everything that means something to her, the club, Clay, Jax; it’s hard watching it all slip away. Running around like a chicken with her head half cut off trying to retie all the untied ends.
Wendy is dirt. She has no rights. Now there is someone that needs to be handled. She made her choice to do dope and split. Life is all about choices. Priorities. She made a conscious choice to make getting high her priority and walk out on her kid. She gave up all rights, that’s it. That is the very last thing Jax and Tara need in their mix, Wendy.
Clay is back peddling trying to explain why he beat Gemma to Jax. He doesn’t know what to lie to pull out next. Slowly and completely he is unraveling. Talk about trying to keep straight in a web of lies.
Tara had a meltdown. That had to hurt, smashing your already broken arm. I thought she would be smarter than that, then to hurt herself in a fit of rage. Everyone is unraveling.
It’s pretty easy fro the Cartel to produce some bodies to appease Jax’s revenge. There were three bodies, somebody else is going down. Jax could try to deal with it all alone but there is no way the guys will let him. They are all in everything together. Opie is in, but he is pissed. Clay finally admitted to the club the cartel was a bad move. A little late. Piney is dead, Miles is dead.
Hale got it together and got Oswald in line, somehow I knew he would. Clay has no use for Georgie anymore. He cancelled his contract like a seasoned mob boss.
Otto ain’t playing. I like how he handled the AUSA. Finally somebody is telling that guy to shut up. Too bad Otto doesn’t have all the facts. He thinks the club really stabbed him in the back, when it was only one member that lied. Now he is making a deal that will sink the club under RICO. He wants his execution date moved up cause he can not live with himself after betraying the one thing he stood for and believed in his whole life. He threw all that out the window. Nothing left but time, and misery.
The cartel guys move like infantry. Galindo is not playing, he killed that one guy for not giving an answer, then killed the rest when he got it.
That gun battle was like a video game my nephews play. Land mines, RPG’s, Kozik got blown to bits. That sucks, I really like Kozik. He was one of the coolest members in the charter. Gonna miss him.
Juice is as screwed as ever. He is done as far as I am concerned. He can’t be trusted for anything, let alone to make a good decision. He walked across the mine field without a care in the world. That was not being brave, that was being stupid and taking unnecessary chances. He is a rat and he has to go before he gets someone else killed…or kills them himself. They used the Irish guns, they were not supposed to use the Irish guns, more trouble.
Opie trying to get it together with Lyla is like trying to put a round peg in a square hole. It isn’t going to work, unless you use a hammer.
I knew Georgie didn’t have long for this earth as soon as Bobby started talking to him. It was obvious Bobby had his mind made up. Now he has to go explain it all to Otto. Hope it isn’t too late.
Gemma will never let Wendy in. She will never see those grandkids. Gemma will never let go of her hate; she does not forgive, she isn’t built that way. Wendy doesn’t deserve shit anyway. She wants a family go make a new one, stick with the decision you made.
Juice coming clean to Chibs, a little too late. Big deal about his dad being black, his dad is not trying to be in the club. Chibs is right anyway – his birth certificate says Hispanic, he is Hispanic. I am surprised Chibs didn’t ask him if he already talked to the cops. Wouldn’t matter though, juice would lie to his face. Even after the talk and forgiveness, Juice is checking with the cops. RAT.
Hard to believe Otto is cooperating. I would have thought he would hold out or at least get more intel before believing the AUSA. Bummer, Otto is too cool to be a rat.
I wish Gemma would have told Jax that Wendy showed up and that’s why Tara messed up her hand. Jax doesn’t need that on his plate right now, later.
Tig doesn’t want to be Clay’s right hand anymore. In reality this is when Tig should stick the tightest, when your brother is in trouble, and Clay is in trouble, big trouble.
Piney dead, Miles dead, Kozik dead, the ranks are getting thin.
Had to happen sooner than later, Opie finding Piney. That was hard to watch, Opie breaking down. Unser is lucky he didn’t get shot walking into that scene. Unser set Opie up for the kill, but how much can a man take? Clay killed his wife, his dad, and tried to kill Opie himself. Seems to me some long awaited retribution is on the way. Hopefully not a moment too late.

Not as much to deal with in this episode as I thought there’d be, but some significant developments.
I really thought, after last week, that Gemma would come out ready for war. She didn’t. She’s still soft-peddling, telling Jax and Tig to basically let it go for now. Why? Clay has to go and she knows it better than anyone. The longer he’s alive, the worse things are going to get and that’s a fact.
I feel like I should be suprised Jax let Clay off so easy, but he still thinks he can get out. I actually think Jax is almost a big a danger to the club as Clay at this point, because he’s pushing his own agenda. He wants out so bad he’s willing to let Gemma’s beaten face go for the moment, as long as he can get his walking papers.
Wendy showing up is a case of wrong person, wrong time. Any other time she could’ve been easily dealt with, but everyone’s got a bit more on their plate right now.
As far as the gunfight went, I have a hard time believing that much artillery could go off in Northern California and NO ONE NOTICED. I don’t care how far in the country they are, when rocket launchers are going off, someone’s gotta be watching. Kozik went out like a soldier, but I can’t help but notice that they keep killing off the most marginal charter members. Discounting Piney obviously.
And then Chibs tells Juice what he should’ve known all along. Too bad it changes nothing at this point. Juice is neck deep, and I have no idea what’s gonna pull him out.
I can’t help but feel like Otto’s got some other plan besides ratting everyone out to Potter, and I think it’s got something to do with Lenny, but I’ve got no idea what it might be. I really hope Bobby doesn’t go out over this. He’s about the truest member of SAMCRO there is.
Tig’s whole storyline seemed to come out of nowhere, but only from a storytelling standpoint. We don’t really see him for a few episodes, but then he goes from trying to talk to Clay to handing over his Sgt. at Arms patch in one episode. I get his motivation, being shut out, but it came on a bit fast. I’m thinking this’ll be important going forward.
Then Opie snaps. I was glad to see he didn’t kill Unser, but he’s going to kill someone very soon. Unser’s craftier than I’d have thought, basically loading and pointing a gun at Clay (Opie) by just coming clean. Wonder what Gemma will say to him after this?
By Jimbo on November 18th, 2011 at 11:37 pmDid you guys have to find a new writer for the FB blog? This sh*t is getting thin. We can read the episode recaps on our own. The Fat Bob Blog was a place to hear a patch holder perspective on the situation. For one reason or the other, the writing style has changed….and I’m not so sure it is for the better.
By Little Mike SD on November 19th, 2011 at 11:10 amThe call on the Juice situation is shallow. I agree Juice isn’t acting like a brother, but if you think Clay needs Tig to stick tight because he is in trouble then why throw Juice under the bus? I still see plenty of opportunity for Juice to turn it around, Clay has been a lost soul for quite awhile.
Opie is the man. Him,Chibs and Piney seem to be the only real men in the group, the straight up, no b_llsh_t kinda guys, that take care of their business and their families without resorting to lies and deceipt !!! and now Piney paid the price for it !!! I hope Opie beats Clay to death, cause he needs to suffer !!!
By bubbayesmar on November 19th, 2011 at 8:34 pmpoor kozik , the second time kurt sutter blew up that actor up , once in the land mine flied and first in the shield . between juice and otto there s going to be something stale and a revisited for solution to the US A.D.A , like how jax handled agent stahl ,and i have also noticed two things about chibs this season, i believe he has changed to a diffent style for his dyno , saddle bags and windshield, or maybe hes riding two different bikes i dont know . the other is that chibs didn not go to prison i believe and is not subject to parole , so why has he been seen so many times this season with out his cut but a dark brown tight leather jacket ???? why is this ..and i kno its being set up this way and every one wants it but clay will never die , the father son love hate relationship is needed for this show , do you see
By travis on November 20th, 2011 at 5:14 pmany type of show worth watching with jax as president or some one else for that matter there wouldnt be the daily drama that is sons of anarchy , plus the forst two season were great cause of multiple problems they had to deal with , lately ever since stahl it seems every season is one problem and long struggle were they never stop treding water , almost one step forword and two steps backwords
Not sure how it can continue next season.
By Freedom08 on November 20th, 2011 at 11:38 pmI love this show.
Wendys’ timing is perfect. Tara’s 3 loves, Jax, medicine & her boys. Abel is hers, not matter what. So….Wendy comes along to threaten the one last thing she has for sure – her sons. She loses it – like any mother would and then smashes her hand. The Providence people will probably not want her anymore – so she stays in Charming. Plot fixed.
Wendy obviously lost her mind when she got clean. She seems to forget Gemma and what she is capable of doing. She will get it coming for sure.
Clay should have had some foresight that all the boys view Gemma as more than an Old Lady – she is there mother too in a way. OR they’re in love with her.
All this blood, Gemmas hand smashed and now Opie knows that Clay is responsible for Donna AND Piney. Not Good.
Can’t wait to see what is next.
I think the whole Juice thing is weak? If Bobby is a Jew and Happy looks kind of mixed (and hot with a great voice) – what would be the big deal about being black????
By HappyFan on November 21st, 2011 at 8:37 amBro your insight is always dead on. The life is not for everyone but for the few it’s the only life worth living
By Franko on November 21st, 2011 at 12:19 pmGemma deserves every damn thing that happens to her she is just as evil and manipulative as anyone else on the show. She has had that beating from clay coming for a long time she is just an old lady and shouldnt be involves in club business or descisions she needs to learn her place
By bigmike on November 21st, 2011 at 3:21 pmThis season is turning into a meditation on death and dying with loyalty as a subtext. OK.
SOA right now is like a whirlpool with Clay in the center, going down. Loyalty: Tig is loyal to the club and loyal to Gemma. He tried to bridge the gap and Clay pushed him away. Tig made his call. Clay is now alone. With the possible exception of Happy there is nobody who will stand with him against the world. Clay has been disloyal to the club as a whole and to the members who have mattered most to him. He’s getting what he paid for.
Death and dying: Juice walking through the minefield was a reckless act by a man who believes his death is imminent, whether by his own hand or by that of another. Kozik being blown up shook him, but he really does not care about his own life any more.
Loyalty: I was surprised to learn that the club has a racial exclusion policy. That was hinted at before, but not made explicit. Seems somewhat at odds with the club’s antagonism to the Nords and the white supremacists in the second season.
Wendy is a narcissistic bitch. She is the only thing that matters to her. Never a thought as to what dropping back into Abel’s life might do to him or the stability of his family. Tara’s rage is understandable: one last straw.
Opie’s molten rage when hearing the news from Unser was one of the most compelling scenes I’ve ever watched on TV. Damn, Ryan Hurst is good. But I realized that in fact Opie is a very angry guy. He walks with a placid exterior, but that rage is always just under the surface, as when he shot up the body of the Mayan he’d been told shot Donna. Weird moment: Unser remarking that Clay had Donna killed and Opie not reacting. Did Opie know that? Must have missed something along the way.
Otto has created a way out for himself, because he doesn’t sign any statement until his last condition is met. If Bobby can get to him before that and tell him the truth about Georgie, Otto may bail on the deal. Or not. Death and dying and loyalty: Otto’s loyalty to the club has cost him dearly and has not gained him much. The club hasn’t even helped him take care of his eyes. He may prefer death at this point.
What is left? Assuming Clay is killed there is a small core: Tig, Chibs, Happy, Opie. Bobby is probably there too, but he has shown he can betray the club and its members. Jax could lead, but I don’t know which way he’ll jump with this situation with Tara. And what is Clay going to do when he walks into Tara’s room?
By DeucesWilde on November 22nd, 2011 at 10:26 am@HappyFan, Wendy did not lose her mind. She is a classic case of the “dry drunk.” She has stopped using, but all the qualities that led her to addiction in the first place are still there. She is self-centered to the point of narcissism. She has no capacity to perceive the effect of what she does on others. It’s more important to her that Gemma know that she’s decided she likes women than that Tara reinjured herself thanks to her thoughtlessness, and that she see Abel now rather than wait until Tara could handle it. She is a taker and a user sober, just as she was as an addict. Gemma knows this, which is why she said “there’s that junkie whore I used to know.”
By DeucesWilde on November 22nd, 2011 at 1:55 pmIf Juice sorts out this AUSA sh*t and links the cartel with the Irish Kings then the club is cleared. OK… hes a rat but he’s ratting to save the club. Maybe Chibs will see it and forgive him… or throw him to the f*ckin dogs.. Who knows?
By Dogstardom on November 22nd, 2011 at 4:04 pmI just really don’t see any other way out of the cartel. They won’t ever let the Son’s leave. Those guys are relentless. Clay needs to get fed to the lions for burying the club in sh*t this deep. Dude is a F*ckin villain. I’m sure Ope will go rabid gorilla on his ass soon enough.
This stuff is happening to fast ! Slow the hell down, man ! Stop killing my peeps man !
By Guy Glimp on November 22nd, 2011 at 4:26 pmHooray Clay is dead!
By HD Guy on November 22nd, 2011 at 9:18 pmI think the blog is awsome. I read it often and agree with what is said. Alot of people don’t understand the code that comes with that lifestyle. There are no two ways about it if there was it would be like the government and there double standard of living and programing. It’s not ok to be a rat just because you are protecting someone or something. As a matter of fact i wouldn’t rat on my worst enemies let alone someone i was “in business” with, juice is a rat and he will be figured out, the code says no ratting not no ratting unless you bennifite. Period.
By outkast on November 23rd, 2011 at 4:45 pmIhave watched the show from day one. I am not in an MC but know a few people that have lived the life and i am happy that there is something finally on t.v. that i believe in. The lifestyle and the commrodery, the brotherhood. I think it’s great I know it’s just t.v. but it is one hell of a show. I hope it doesn’t end this season. Keep up the blog Bob i look forward to reading.
Clay was shot twice by Opie. Shot, but may not be dead. Too bad Clay let Tara’s hand get shattered, that bridge is burned. This show has so many twists and turns, the only thing you can expect is the unexpected.
By 1979Shovel on November 23rd, 2011 at 5:10 pmI saw clay take a double tap, don’t know that he is dead though….
By Doc on November 23rd, 2011 at 6:31 pmgot a hunch thats going to be a wait till next year thing
HELL YEAH SHOOT THAT PUNK CLAY ,,,
By LADY D on November 23rd, 2011 at 11:17 pmClay is shot but is he dead???
By Northbound on November 24th, 2011 at 7:51 pmI get that this blog is supposed to be from a biker’s view but…Wendy’s judged worthless? She beat drugs. She left her baby with Tara and Jax — the right thing to do. Now she wants to have a relationship with the kid — and she’s garbage? In a show where everybody else kills people … even kills loved ones? C’mon man! I’ll write like I’m wearin’ a patch, OK? A brutha don’t gotta let Wendy git all up in Able’s head about being a mama n’ s*&^! But, dude, she did squeeze the kid out and he is her blood and *&^% she did Able and Jax right by splittin’…they gotta make it right by her and let her see the kid.
By Ted Sillanpaa on November 25th, 2011 at 11:29 pmI don’t see a way out for Jax anymore. If Opie takes out Clay its going to take Jax to keep the club together. I’m also positive Gemma knew that Unser would spill the beans to Opie. That’s her hand, not Unser’s, remotely turning Opie’s sights on Clay.
I think Wendy coming back into the picture is more of a test for Tara than anything else. Tara regardless of the injury had a way out but she smashed her hand to remove the Oregon job offer on purpose, not out of a jealous rage.
Its almost ironic that this season the small easy decisions that everyone shied away from are the ones that came back to bite the hardest. Juice easily could have fessed up his racial heritage. Bobby could have told Otto the truth about Georgie. Gemma could have easily have shown Abel to Wendy without use of threats-wouldn’t surprise me if Wendy goes to court to prevent Abel from crossing state lines.
By Mal on November 26th, 2011 at 1:23 amI agree that Tara’s rage is understandable. The last person that she needed to see and deal with is Wendy. Intelligent people can do dumb things when they are at their breaking point. I don’t mean to sound impolite, but you don’t seem to cut the characters much slack given the pressure that they have been under. I agree that Gemma doesn’t forgive and it is amazing that she ever forgave Tara. She HATED Tara in season one, and Tara was never a junkie whore. I can understand why Gemma didn’t mention Wendy showing up to Jax. I agree that Wendy had her chance and blew it. She is selfish. Her seeing Abel would only confuse him. Right now, he has nothing to gain from knowing her. He nearly died because of her. I say that if Abel ever learns that Tara isn’t his biological mother, then let him go find Wendy on his own if he is interested. Otherwise, she ought to stay out of his life. It was sort of amusing from a real life standpoint as I read that Sutter wanted Drea to come back in season two, but she already had a commitment with Desperate Housewives and wasn’t available.
By Tempest on November 26th, 2011 at 5:29 amClay is not dead… I think he is wearing a bullet proof vest… He had to… He knew Opie was coming…
By Domino on November 26th, 2011 at 11:57 amWhere is “Fat Bob’s episode 12 notes? Tonite is part 1 of this season’s finale, you know it’s going to be a nail biter. The season goes by soooo fast.
By ellie on November 29th, 2011 at 6:57 amBob are you good? The post keep getting pushed out later and later. You have a way of taking the madness and putting the final thoughts of the week to it for me and my old lady. I am trying to be patient but this is crunch time…
Bob please post like the old days like clockwork, we miss it.
You have an excellent pen…

By Randall on November 29th, 2011 at 12:20 pmWHAT’S THE PROBLEM HERE?
We are a week down the road from Opie killing Clay, and no FB blog? Geez. That one could have written itself.
OK. It had to be Opie. He’s a basic guy: Clay had Donna killed, Clay killed Piney, Clay has to die. No politics, no “big picture”, no grand schemes. Just anger and retribution. Why does this feel like the last season?
By DeucesWilde on November 29th, 2011 at 12:49 pmAgree with Mike, who is the new FB ghost writer? The recaps are uncomfortably soft — definitely NOT the same style as earlier. I want the ol’ FB back!
By Wendy on November 29th, 2011 at 2:30 pmAgree with Little Mike, who is this new blogger and where did the true ‘Fat Bob’ go?
