CHARMING FAT BOB’S BLOG
SO. I don’t know where to begin. First of all I want to to say that this is T.V. This is a show that is geared to entertain. This is Drama. It is not REAL LIFE. That being said I wouldn’t be who I am if I just agreed with what I saw on the tube. I am in real life club. A club with rules. Rules like, you can not lie to your Brother. You can not steal from your Brother. You DAMN sure can not bang your brothers old lady. Didn’t write for a while cause one, I had to do a hell of a lot of work this week, and two, I wanted to watch the episodes again that I had seen.
Once again let me just say that it was one of the craziest things I have seen on T.V. watching the attack on biker momma. And when I turned on the show next week, totally expecting full on retribution to happen I was totally amazed to see Gemma keep her mouth shut for the better of the club. As far as I can see she is the baddest gangster on the show. She is totally aware that sending the Sons after the rapist is exactly what they wanted. It took me a minute to get right with that. I realize there is a method to her madness. I know I will be watching every week to see the retribution I would expect to unfold. One thing for sure, Gemma is as tough as nails.
SO that was a pretty heavy party. In fact I have not seen a party end like that in a while, if ever. All the girls half naked asleep in the halls, on the floors, basically everywhere except the beds. And how about Tig? Gotta love that sociopath. When that chick landed on the floor we were all laughing our asses off.
It’s easy to understand that growing up in a small town together that Gemma and Unser would have a realtionship. Also Hale and Jax. Old friends. Friends or not, we don’t talk to cops. EVER. Although every club should have a cop like that on the payroll. Once again this is T.V. Gemma and Tara becoming friends is a natural thing. That doc has got many lessons to learn, and Gemma is the one to teach them. Tell you what, My old Lady would have walked out there with a nine millimeter if she saw some porn star get off my bike and blow her away. I’d probably be dodging bullets myself, and if you knew my old Lady you would totally understand. Tara wants total disclosure and then the next thing she does is lie to Jax’s face. She is getting in it real deep though. Gotta remember last season when Jax blew away that cop right in front of her. That is about as deep as if she pulled the trigger herself. Once again, DRAMA.
I know it’s hard to understand, but when Clay said whatever he does, wether Jax agrees with it or not, is for the good of the club. It is never arbitrary. He was right. Sometimes you gotta make decisions, and some times those decisions don’t exactly turn out right, but when you make them, the only thing that matters is that your heart is in the right place. For the CLUB.
I like where Opie is going. I like where his head is at. When he walked up to the truck and was firing off shots at the Mayans, without a thought of himself, well that is exactly what he said, throwing himself into what he has left in his life. I don’t see that as a death wish, just a commitment. Opie is a SAVAGE.
Nothing wrong with that porn business. It is legit. And if it makes the club money, and keeps the ball rolling while the guns get back on line that’s cool. They sure are raking Luann over the coals though. Half the business, canceling the debt, paying Bobby out of her cut. WOW. Her Old Man is a club brother in the pen. And a prison clause? Never heard of it. She was stealing from the club for six years, so on that respect maybe she should have her porn stars service the club for the next six years. Anything except trying to jump Bobby’s bones. It would be tragic to find out your old lady was stealing from the club for six years. Gotta turn your back on her. Women come and go. Some stay, some split, but the Brothers are there FOREVER. Some times I aint so charming but one thing for sure, I will always tell it like I see it.
That all being said, I can’t wait for next week. See ya.

By Kyle on October 20th, 2009 at 8:15 pmIt’s pretty clear that Clay is fighting to keep the Club “old school” 1%’ers, and Jax - although he loves the Club and has no problem pulling the trigger, is NOT a 1%’er…. At least not any more. Clay refuses to see the outside world closing in on Charming, and Jax does. Too many Feds, ATF, and rival factions (9′ers, Mayans, League) to keep them all down without a grasp on the changing landscape… If Clay wins, the Club dies… I see it getting to the point tha Jax will HAVE to tell the Club the truth about Donna, if he sees that as the only way to save it. He’ll at least have to confide in Bobby, as Bobby is the key, the “swing vote”.

Just happened to find your blog while checking out the show’s site.
some pretty good reading. I always thought Gemma was the ultimate gangster and could not believe what happened. At first I thought is was crazy that the bad guys tried it so soon. What allways amazed me about the show is what the hell kind of town is Charming? They have more outlaws that the entire Wild West. I read one of your old posts about the Doc having to turn dark or freak out. She definately has turned dark. Jax definately showed he’s got the balls and brains to take this thing over and most of the brothers will follow, but if that happens, no way Tig and Clay will be around to see it.
Anyway, thanks for the read. I’ll be checking back.

By MelindaD on October 21st, 2009 at 12:19 pmI dont know about that , peterB, i think jax has a one percenter style but i belive he just thinks outside the box you know what im sayin you got to keep your eyes peeled for all enemys and hes doing it all for the club not for himself hes makin **** better for his brother Opie…clay needs to remember there would be no club without the others so he shouldnt try and kill off Opie in the first place he should have gotten pappers and evidence opie was screwin the club over before acting if he had done that none of that would have happened and jax wouldnt hate him for what he did

By J. C. on October 23rd, 2009 at 8:38 amI gotta tell ya, it is good to see someone who looks at this show like me and my brothers do. Sometimes it “feels” too close to real. Me and a couple brothers went on a ride last week for “the troops”. We got invited kinda second hand. A friend of one of my closest brother’s wife told her about it. We showed up and there were about 4 other clubs there all going on this joint ride. Over 300 bikes. That wasn’t a problem. Problem was after we all threw our money in to contribute and for the “free” shirts the largest part of the group all starts putting on colors. Then out of nowhere a cop suv and bike-cop show up with lights flashing. Needlass to say my group were thinking “****, what a dirty trick”. But, the bulk of the group that had just put on their colors turned out to be a LEMC. Let me clear something up, I really REALLY do not like cops. Had I known they were puting on the ride I wouldn’t have come. I want to support the troops, got too much family affected not to, but you know how it is. The women with us and a couple of the guys who have less trouble with them than I do convinced me to just enjoy the ride and the “free” lunch. I was a beautiful day. I did enjoy blazing through the stop signs and red lights with red and blue lights in front of me instead of behind. After the ride ended and we all sat eating the BBQ my group had a good chuckle thinking of our small group of dogs surrounded by Law Dogs. Life is short, enjoy the ride! Gonzo

That being said, I did see first hand clubs doing things such as being portrayed on the show. I once saw our Pres. and a HA Pres. shoot out a stoplight cause it took too long to change green.LOL! Can’t wait to see what happens when Gemma tells all, or takes care of it herself.

It is indeed a show I dig, but there’s a whole lot of stuff that goes on in there that just would not happen in reality. Just like any other show. However, it seems people tend to forget that sometimes.

Agree with many comments about wearing SOA cuts with state/city rockers. I am the son of a Michigan 1%er… Love the show and like the swag but concerned about REAL 3-piece patch holders position on SOA garb? Cool or uncool? Not interested in causing drama

but i would have thought a biker chick would have known people to care of her problem especially with how high placed gemma is.
ran w/ red/white for a few. Seems to me this show, as good as it is, is not the real club. Fact is, if someone actually followed the club in the form of a series, it would be as boring as boring could be: except every once in a while. Clubs are just that: clubs. A place where your back is and always will be covered.
