Just a note to the jerkoff haters. Of course “fat bob” is an alias. Of course I can’t claim my real MC. Use your heads. My club cannot be associated with the show and the show can’t be associate with my club. I’m helping out some friends, giving my POV on this show, which despite it’s shortcomings is a badass show. So shut up and if you don’t dig the blog — don’t read it. Comprende?
Anyway…I’m a few behind, so I’ll try to catch up in the next week or so. My opinion, this show just keeps getting better. Realer. I agree that guy jacking off got on my nerves. I am sure I would have knocked him out the first time. Clay was too easy on that a**hole. Call me old Fashioned. And how about that lady cop. She was smooth. It would be cool to see her and the other cop tied up together. That was some real life shit with clay and Gemma. It is a tough thing to keep a wife happy and devote ALL to the club. That is what finding a balance is. An Old Lady will either help you or hurt you, there is no in between. For me, I think it is better, even mandatory to keep the two separate. That way if she gets picked up, nothing to lie about, she don’t know anything anyway. Gemma knew to change the subject when asked but seems like she is almost running the show anyway. Most of my brothers think she is the biggest gangster on anyway.
I liked how Jax found the solution for the guns to get out of the shop. And that IS the Vice Presidents job, to make decisions when the President is not able to. That was re affirmed when Clay said “You handle it.”
And when that girl, Cherry said, “What happens on the run stays on the run,” My old lady went Ballistic. I don’t know about you but that was a little too real. I am still in the dog house. And my dog don’t like sharing his space. BTW — i love my dog. My old lady gets a little jealous of that too.
One thing though, they better start clipping those helmets on when they take off. Those things would have fell off on the first bump. Mostly I find I can’t wait for the next show.
Sorry for the snap off, most of you commenting are good and cool. Thank you all for writing back. It’s as cool as Hell to be talking with all of you. I’m having some fun.

By Trapper on October 27th, 2008 at 2:17 pmI agree “Fat Bob”, who would actually think you wouldn’t be anonymous? Loving your blog. Loving the show! BTW tell your ol lady I flipped out too the realness of the show is crazy!
Love ya,
By KIKI on October 27th, 2008 at 4:04 pmKIKI
Great blog. Who in their right mind would expect youi to yous your real name and club. Such retards, I ask myself about those helmets everytime they take off without it snaped. Looking forward to more.
By Rocker on October 27th, 2008 at 4:23 pmHey, huge fan of the show, and i think its really cool that they brought in a real biker to make sure they dont make some other crappy show run by people who dont know what they’re talking about. Anyway, i like how you also noticed they sometimes dont clip their helmets. Since you got the insides on the show do you think you could find out what brand of helmets they wear, i think they look badass, and its difficult to find a half helmet that looks cool. Thanks man, Jon Klein, proud owner of a 1998 Sportster 1200C at the age of 18.
By Jon on October 27th, 2008 at 4:54 pmIf a dude owns both a 2008 Kawasaki ZX-14 and a 2008 Harley Davidson FLSTN and splits time equally between both, does that mean they are no longer a “cool” biker? A biker is a biker…no matter what’s under the saddle.
By Clam Juice on October 27th, 2008 at 5:16 pmBe kind, don’t discriminate the biker wave.
I’ve noticed that all the cuts look the same. look at each members vest, they all look exactly the same (pretty much). no 1% patches(which then agian, the HA’s may not like that) no skull and cross bones patches or like U.S. flags, and just random patches you see bikers wear. On one post you said it would be impossible to knock all those bikes over in that direction, i didn’t notice that at 1st, but now i do. the jerk off guy, i would’ve “offed” that guy instantly.
By Billy on October 27th, 2008 at 7:59 pmI love the show and your blog fat bob.
Hey Fat Bob,
What is the address to send some stuff to Kurt Sutter???

By hardway on October 28th, 2008 at 5:12 amGreat show even though some of the lines I swear are from the old biker movies from the late ’60’s and early ’70’s. Remeber those? LOL
Some of my bro’s have seen the show but most don’t bother. But I think it has legs and will be around for a while.
Ride safe.
By Primo on October 28th, 2008 at 5:15 amI am loving the show, I live in the midwest and I know and run with a club(independent rider and they respect it and I respect their club)I can’t wait to see the retaliation coming….nice to have a honest opinion to the show. Keep up the words and stay true.

Lisa
By Lisa on October 28th, 2008 at 9:32 amLove the show, love Clay, love Jax and all the others. Fat Bob - you’re cool. I can’t wait for 10:00 every Wednesday night. Love getting an insiders view of the show and MC. Thanks.
By Rikki on October 28th, 2008 at 11:19 amThe show is really heating up! Still a little far fetched if you actually live “the life” but good tv. I miss the section of the SOA home page which described each club member, their history and loyalties. It looks like Jax and Tig are heading for a show down!! I think Clay may have troubles from that problem. Especially with a war looming!! If your VP isn’t with you then he’s against you! Jax needs to either get with the club or realize the club as it now exists isn’t what his old man wanted and maybe he should walk now while he can still go out in good standing! Better an out dated tat than another torch job!!
Love the show. Love the blog. Relax some of you people. It’s just a show.

By Valerie on October 29th, 2008 at 12:30 amLove the show and story line. I think it’s great that the club looks out for there own. Even though there’s a dark-side to the Clubs or so it may seem. There’s a “BOND” there that you don’t see much anymore with anyone. Must be nice to know you always have someone that has your back.
Your Blogs are awesome keep them coming ! LMAO hope your not in the dog house too…… long !
Yep gotta agree with you there BOB alias is good and I am agreeing alot with the show even with the short comings. Will see this evenings episode and blog a comment for ya tomorrow. By the way if you are outta south region BOB, Yu should know the dislike WE all have for Conn. Ed wilterhualt. If you see him please say hi for me right after he gets his eye dotted.

By M Longo (CA) on October 29th, 2008 at 7:13 amHey Fat Bob, Its great to know that the production staff is relying on a Real MC member for their continuity, Screw the idiots who ask if that is your real name or what club your in, people like that don’t know their place. I’m glad that even though our boys in SOA are outlaws they are wearing helmets. Its good to show the ignorant that it does happen. I look forward to seeing the next episode everytime the current one ends. I will be buying this on DVD as soon as it comes out, but I hope they have some cool extras on it.
By Harley on October 29th, 2008 at 9:10 amKeep up the good work, keep the rubber side down, ride it like you stole it, and ride hard or go home.
Fat Bob,
Half the fun of SOA is reading your blog. Man, you had me rolling with this one…and I feel your pain about watching the show with the ol’ lady…I get those evil looks time to time as well, but she knows the life.
Keep laying down the words…laughter is in short supply these days and your insight is dead on.

By *Jin* on October 29th, 2008 at 10:45 amAboslutely LOVE this show. Great entertainment. Being involved with the MC community, SOA shows truth in most all instances. It’s great to be able to actually watch a show that is interesting, entertaining, and believable for once……And it doesn’t hurt that most cast memebers are hot as ***k! Love your blog!! Keep it up…and I can’t wait for the next episode!!
Peace,
*Jin*
Can anyone explain why people choose to comment when they don’t like the show or the person writing the blog? It’s just so childish! If you don’t like it don’t watch it, it’s that simple!
I for one love the show. I am so obsessed! Ron Perlman is Fantastic and the rest of the cast is so great. The chemistry between characters is amazing. I get so excited on Wednesdays. I’m just bummed it’s only a 13 episode season. Thank goodness FX picked up a season two. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for season 3.
I was so psyched when I first saw your blog, Fat Bob. I know absolutely nothing about the life, or motorcycles for that matter. I never had an opportunity to be around them. Although I’ve always loved motorcycles and thought they looked so cool. We used to go to Orlando around the same time as the bike rally/run/whatever-it-was-called in Daytona and I loved to see all the bikers riding in formation and hanging out at the rest stops. I used to really want a motorcycle or to date a guy who had one. (unfortunately as I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten more paranoid and motorcycles now scare me a little since there is nothing between you and the road) So for me the show is pure escapist fun playing on those old dreams. It’s great to have an opinion from someone who lives the life and knows what it’s really like. I’m always interested in how much is real and how much is total fiction.
Thanks so much for the insight. I look forward to your next post. Ride safe!
By Bella on October 29th, 2008 at 11:32 amhey man cool of you to take the time to do this, the show is really badass but me being close to a man who has 40 years in a MC i can see the fake **** or the unstudied parts but hey thats hollywood as they say right! take care bro.
By erik on October 29th, 2008 at 12:09 pmThanks for mentioning the unhooked helmets. That was driving me bananas.
I just chalked it up to magical TV physics.
By Cheapnevil on October 29th, 2008 at 1:26 pmI have turned into a geek fan of this show. We bought a 2006 HD Road King Custom recently and I am loving it!
Went to the Love Ride in LA last weekend and saw some of the actors from the show. They were kind enough to stop and take a photo with me! I’m old enought to be Jax mom, but just about wet myself with excitement when he posed with me!
Keep the blog coming, Fat Bob.
By Gaye on October 29th, 2008 at 2:52 pmSome people just can’t be happy if they are not hating on something. I love the show and I like this site to go along with it. When our riding friends get together every Friday night the first thing we talk about is SOA! Keep up the great work.
By Kat on October 29th, 2008 at 3:28 pmKat
Hey Primo! That’s cause half them dudes were from the 60s and 70s! Lol! Bogan, your still on them dang scooters and sneakers? It’s not gonna change. Jax is known for the sneakers and the scooters blow the Mayan bikes away! They smoked them dudes in one episode! As a former military guy, I have a $1900 dollar crotch rocket cause thats what I could afford at the time for now. I rode from New Bern, North Carolina to Huntsville, Alabama for the Trail of Tears ride and back! I would give anything for one of them “scooters” after that ride! I love Jax bike and paint scheme. Tara needs to come back to the darkside! I wonder when he is gonna tell the prez about offing the ATF agent? I was wondering if a crotch rocket rider could prospect a 1%er club or support club or even be a full member?
By Tom on October 29th, 2008 at 8:47 pmGreat blog Fat Bob. Keep up the good work.
By Biker-Jon on October 29th, 2008 at 9:09 pmseriously, THINK ABOUT IT THEY ARE PORTRAYING JAX AS A YOUNG KID WHO ISN’T SURE WHICH WAY HE IS HEADED AND IS ONLY IN THE CLUB BECAUSE OF FAMILY TIES, HE WEARS WHITE SNEAKERS BECAUSE HE IS A YOUNGER DUDE JUST CUZ HE DONT HAVE ON RED WINGS DONT MEAN A THING….ALSO REALIZE THAT ONCE THE SHOW AIRS EACH WEEK THAT THE SHOW WAS ALREADY DONE A LONG TIME AGO
By MELINA on October 29th, 2008 at 10:09 pmjust wanted to say thanks for the blog and thanks for the show. helps people realize life isn’t just thanksgiving at macy’s
By no one on October 29th, 2008 at 11:14 pmlook, i’m not going to pretend to know what really goes on with bike clubs. but i have spent enough time around a few associates involved with the lifestyle. so i guess you could say i know enough to know what goes on. i’m a second generation rider myself, grew up around mostly harley’s and some imports. ever since i was an infant (pretty sure bout that one) i’ve always had an interest in riding… the lifestyle and freedom and what-not. with SOME exceptions this show has pretty much nailed that lifestyle on the head. (based off my experiences and what i know.) for the first time i think i’ve finally found something worth watching other than UFC for a change, lol. i don’t pretend know know **** i don’t, but i DO know that some day i may just be fully into a club… who know’s.
and yes i’m part of that younger generation.
keep up the good work Fat Bob! i’m loving the **** out of SOA!
By leprochaun on October 29th, 2008 at 11:27 pmfrist time to write to some one on the net like your blog I too love the show thanks for your time
By booker on October 29th, 2008 at 11:37 pmlook forward to more of your insites
Just when you think you got a handle on the show, they take it up another notch! Really looking forward to seeing how series turns out. Fat Bob, keep the good work!
By Shay on October 30th, 2008 at 7:13 amI’ve been doin a review since episode one, more of a discussion forum of sorts on my blog than a review. I think you’ve got some good **** to say here. Keep it up. I’ll be back for more.
By Mark Brachmann,A.K.A. Mr. Motorcycle on October 30th, 2008 at 7:18 amBella, to answer your question, they do it to P**S people off. People who ride without helmets, make that choice, because its just that, you and your ride and the open road. There isn’t another feeling like it. Would I ride with a brain bucket, only if I have to.
By Kat on October 30th, 2008 at 7:43 amI have been watching the show from the start and have been hooked from the beginning. While I have never been associated with a club, even I knew from the first episode, that Gemma had more control and say than what really happens. However, I have grown to enjoy her character very much. What she did to that tart was awesome and Clays reaction when she showed up at the end was respectful. In not so many words Fat Bob, she said the same thing to the Dr. and she was right. How would it look for her to go to the hospital then go to the club to patch up bullets, especially when your banging the VP. I only hope that the power of the p***y isn’t going to get him into deeper sh*t with the club. Start thinking with the other head Jax.
I am not a biker and have little basis for judging the accuracy of the show. That being said, I am a big fan of both the show and your blog.
It appears the producers really did their homework and thoroughly researched Motorcycle Clubs before starting production.
By any standards, it is an excellent well written program. The actors are terrific.
The fight Gemma and Clay had at the police station was phenomenal. It portrayed the ups and downs of a marriage very accurately.
Life is full of gray zones and is rarely Black and White. Sons of Anarchy portrays this in a very entertaining manner.
I was very happy to see that the program was renewed for a second season.
By JS on October 30th, 2008 at 8:20 amThis is the best show on TV. I work nights so I have to watch it the next morning. I just bought my 1st bike a HD Ultra Classic. Now I’m looking for the an Old Man to go with it.
By sj on October 30th, 2008 at 9:48 amGlad to hear show has been picked up for a second season-It always leaves you wanting more.
Can’t wait to see what happens next.
be safe…
nice show, still need to work on some of the “details”… when all you got is bones, you can lift the skull right up from the rest of the bones, no need to “hold tight” been there, done it. (15 plus years at the county morgue.)
By sobio on October 30th, 2008 at 9:49 amFirst off I do live the life and I do love the show. Me and a lot of my brothers watch the show and actually talk about it. At first we were not happy with the show then we realized it is entertainment and needs to appeal to the entire viewing public. Oh well, as for you not using your real name or MC I wouldn’t sweat the dumb stuff some people are just morons, nothing you can do about that. Keep up the good insight and the good info.

By EZ on October 30th, 2008 at 10:50 amI love this show…My hubby grew up in East LA in the 60’s and his brothers son was very big in Hells Angels. He is amazed at the reality of the show…finally something to watch on the boob tube. To me it shows the reality of what life sometimes has to be about to survive, not everyone has the white picket fence and the money to make it. Thanks Fat Bob..for your imput..works for us..;)
By Shiver on October 30th, 2008 at 10:58 amThe bikes are pretty. I aint never seen no damn biker with a bike that pretty. I know it’s tv and all, and they got teams of folk just to polish the bikes for the show. But still, real bikers normally aint got no pretty damn rides. When you’re on the road that much and taking care of business… polishing is something you get the ol lady to do if you can, and if you can’t, well, dust aint gonna eat the steel.
By doc on October 30th, 2008 at 3:39 pmBut… the show is freakin great.
By doc on October 30th, 2008 at 3:40 pmBecasue I am black and from what I have heard bikers are not the most ethnically tolerant people in the world. BUT I just love it. I cannot stop watching it. I missed the first 15 minutes of bones becasue of a vcr glitch(user error) and I counted the days until they posted that episode up here.
Fat Bob: As far as the haters go. Screw EM. I am former military and have been in some places where I was not supposed to be at times when I was not supposed to be there. So I understand why you cannot associate your club with the show or you self with a particular club. The real 1%er that read this blog will know if you are BSing or not. And those are the only ones you should even take the time to think about.
By sholdhateSOA on October 30th, 2008 at 4:22 pmThanks Fat Bob for taking the time to give your input. I’m sure that is what is making the show as good as it is. I’ve been close to an MC club, as my brother was a member for over 20 years (now retired). I’ve seen some stuff and the show is pretty close. I laugh at some things, like the prospect trying to earn his top rocker. I also understand other things better, like why my brother warned me and protected me from some things. It’s a great show and I’m really enjoying it!
Rose
By Rose on October 30th, 2008 at 5:57 pmLove the show ! JAX is hot .I cant wait until he finds out clay is his father I know I’m right…cant wait until Wensday …..Brenda
By Brenda Greenlaw on October 30th, 2008 at 6:22 pmI love the show. My dad has been in an outlaw MC my whole life. I am an only child and totally grew up with all these zz top looking rough neck bikers. Otlaws and a little girl.. boy do I have some stories. I love that you get to see the other side of the life. They have these sterotypes about bikers, an even though not all of the things in the show are true to life, I love that they show the other side of what an outlaw is. My dad is great!!! While he may not of done eveything right in his life he always tried to do right by me. I am really interested in the story line building between Jax and his son. Live to Ride and ride safe…
And I read the other comments I have to say Jax’s sneakers do bother me. I have never seen a real bad ass wear sneakers on a motorcycle in my life. Young or Old.
By Gabrielle on October 30th, 2008 at 6:58 pmHey Fat Bob,
I am enjoying the show and also think it gets better each week. The haters need to realize that it is a TV show and not real life!
Every Scene with a pack of bikes rolling away makes me want to jump on mine while shouting WAIT FOR ME! LOL.
This is the first show in a long time that makes me look forward to next week’s episode.
Take care and I hope your bike brings you as much peace as mine brings me.
By Pam on October 31st, 2008 at 4:59 amIm scrolling down and reading through the comments but had to stop when I read Hardways comment. Whatever happened between that 1%er and another MC is their bussiness not yours. Even if you think its right or wrong I am quite certain theres something else there that youre not seeing. Also why are you airing out another clubs dirty laundry on the internet?
Common Sense isnt common.
By Colt on October 31st, 2008 at 6:13 amGood blog FB
I’m just wondering what the Red and Whites and for that matter the Blue and Whites think about the California and Oregon Rockers?
I also look forward to every weeks episode and get pissed when it is over.
By Draak on October 31st, 2008 at 8:13 amWell put, Fat Bob! You are helping out a great deal by posting your blogs here with an insider’s perspective. Anyone who gives you crap for not giving your real ID and club affiliation is clueless about club life to begin with. I’m not in a club, but often roll with a couple of local (non-1%) clubs. The show is pretty true to life when it comes to the bonds and brotherhood of a MC. However, Gemma knows too much and wields a bit too much influence on this show. But…it’s ENTERTAINMENT, DRAMA…and done damn well IMO.
I think eventually the dark secret will come out that Clay and Gemma knocked off Jax’s dad in the past. Jax and the hot doc are going to stay together, it’s going to piss off Gemma, and there’s going to be some **** going down internally.
By Norm on October 31st, 2008 at 8:14 amfirst they should give u a life time worth of burgers for what ur doing for them and the show. i deff love this show i havnt missed one yet my boyfriend gets mad b.c whatever were doing i stop at 9:55 every wed night no matter what were doing i tottaly think gemma runs the show and that skate board to the face ****in amazing jax funcking the doc with that ass whole there pricless i do think the doc is a pussy bitch and should have just shot the mother ****er and killed him her self i no for a fact if neone tried doing that **** to me the only phone call id be making is for someone to help me get rid of the body not do the job for me and jax cryin when he throw his dads book into the fier makes him look like a pussy just my thoughts

By Ter on October 31st, 2008 at 9:50 ami agree comepletely “fat bob” to think you wouldnt be annonomous… c’mon get real. i love your blog and the show i think that it is pretty realistic. and the jacking off thing was stupid in my book. btw i hope your dog doesn’t mind sharin his house….
By stephenie B on October 31st, 2008 at 10:55 amOMG! the last episode when the SOA member killed the MAYAN that botched the clay murder. He was getting tattoed with a smileys at he end adding to all the other club hits he made. Did you see the Filthy Few tattoo? Thats way crossing the line for reality and the 81 probably isn’t gonna like the FF reference.
By tatonka on October 31st, 2008 at 11:53 amYou guys are funny. Think about it; a lengthy electronic discourse on the realism of 1%ers and bikerdom on a TV show. Randy would be laughing his ass off at all of you. God Bless Ya, RL.
By Peaches on October 31st, 2008 at 1:10 pmI like the voice in your writing. Entertaining, engaging and real. Gemma is very smart, but I found her comments to Tara (you’re smart and strong-willed…) disingenuous. Can you comment on the multi-racial make-up of Samcro? Is that realistic? Thanks in advance!
By Robin on October 31st, 2008 at 4:09 pmHey Bro thank for what you do! Of course your not going to say who you fly with. keep it coming great show, just got back from a run and the bros their think the show is outstanding. Do you think the women know to much and take care of more then they should?? Ride safe watch out for the cages.
By os on October 31st, 2008 at 6:02 pmPS how about a show in a couples of city, like a swap meet??
Hey..Fat Bob, We as a family love the show and I love your blog. I grew up in one of the top 4 and had birth rights and walked away when I had my children. My choice but I still respect the rules and laws and codes. I was Jax’s age- right choice for me. As far as what people have said about Gemma- all that is Hollywood, but in reality it seems as if she was there when it started, she is an original. Why do you think she is married to the next Pres., as well!!!!! She has her man’s back and the club first- thats real for a TRUE ole’ lady if she is going to be involved!!!! I could tell the show had to be getting some real advice from some real source sounds like they made the right choice, I would love to give some input I know the life all to well myself from birth to 25.
Keep up the GREAT work I dont think the show would be what it is with out you Fat Bob!!

All - in - all love the show… Still need some detail work. in “the pull” NEVER move somebody that’s gone thru. a windshield (in that accident he wouldn’t be there anyway). I was expecting SoA to go to the rich developer (fun town) for the money square things w/ the IRA. Wondering when Clay will call that in.

By panhead 65 on November 1st, 2008 at 11:31 amfat bob the last time i looked u did’nt need a skid lid let alone strap it in cali.
By panhead 65 on November 1st, 2008 at 11:34 amhey Fat Bob, I’ve spent the day reading just about every post on this website, and it seams no matter who it is, they have a bitch about something. Well I have to say that if the production crew has a real biker from a real MC to go to, then obviously the stuff people are bitching about is put in place to take the reality out of what really goes down. Think about it. CSI doesn’t really show you how to get away with a murder or crime, they give you some of the truth and the rest is fictional for a purpose. Some have said that this show will cause more trouble for bikers, I believe that is crap. Some have said that a civilian would get his a** kicked for sporting colors, that could agree with, but for the most part I appreciate your input and love the show, Keep them all in line.
By Harley on November 1st, 2008 at 2:12 pmWith much respect
My two cents, its a great show! Will everything be perfect no, I learned after watching the show and reading these posts it gives us place to let our views be heard, where else could this happen outside of our Mc’s or bros, old ladys or places we hang at. Most citizens think we are criminals or nuts, we have a show and a place to watch it and be heard. I know some of you will have some kind of comeback that life been doing this 33 years, again my 2 cents. PS there will things I will still bitch about.
By os on November 1st, 2008 at 4:00 pmFatBob, former MC patch holder of 2 clubs here . Great blogs. Just for the haters, I ALWAYS wore sneakers. So leave Jax alone. BUT…..you never ever ever got in a cage with your colors on. EVER. YOur a MC, not a car club. And also, the Sons and Mayans have the same font style and color for the patch. Would never ever happen. Pass on the word brother!
By Shawn on November 1st, 2008 at 8:18 pmLove the show! DVR it all the time! By the way some have the MC patch & are in the 99%.Can’t wait till the next episode looks great!!
By ME on November 1st, 2008 at 8:50 pmFat Bob,
Quit your whinning! So long as you’re cashing the checks you’ll live.
Good points on a bunch of sh*t in the responses.
No body ever gets a show right about all the folks in a community. 24 years in the military and now watching shows like the “The Unit” proved it once again. “Gotta make it sell” was something I heard from a famous clud pres back a few years doing a stay in AZ.
The funny stuff in the show keep me tuning in but the part that makes me remember to watch is the feeling of brotherhood that comes accross in the show. Not to many folks could pull that part off.
Good Job!!!
That’s it for now. Take care, Doc
By Doc on November 2nd, 2008 at 2:25 amYeah, gotta tell ya, I agree with everyone else about the helmets. It’s like you said, we bikers are tough, but not that tough. My ma saw a guy get his brains splattered on a sidewalk because we was too stupid to put on a helmet.
By Donny on November 2nd, 2008 at 3:04 pmCan’t wait for the next blog.
Hey Fat Bob,
Thanks for all your input on the show! People have a misconception that what they see on tv is REAL. It’s a tv show with real life mixed in with fictional characters and fictional events. Reality plays some part in the writing, but without Hollywood to “polish it up” it would be quite boring. My wife and I love the show…and our only gripe is the season is TOO SHORT! Keep up the good work!
Gator
By Gator on November 2nd, 2008 at 3:13 pmGreat blog Fat Bob - thanks.
By Sthrnspirit on November 3rd, 2008 at 8:23 amI watched the 10/29 epi last night…I rewound because I know that when Jax and Bobby were at the hotel, Jax did not have on the sneakers…or, he got some black ones haha
SOA gets better with each epi…
Peace!
Ter, 10/31 - are you serious?? Just because you wear leather, ride and maybe belong to a MC doesn’t void you of feelings!! I know some guys (and women) that you wouldn’t stay in the same room with but hey, guess what, they are still human!!!
By Sthrnspirit on November 3rd, 2008 at 9:17 amYou tell ‘em, Fat Bob. Great show, more authenticity with every episode. Good stuff all around.
By Dirty Fud on November 3rd, 2008 at 12:46 pmHey Fat Bob,
Love the show, and your opinons . I get home from work just in time to watch the show ! just gotta love this. My dad rode for 30+ years in sneakers too ! I wear them most of the time myself, anyways, keep the shiney side up ! laterz
By shortbread on November 3rd, 2008 at 3:33 pmHey Fat Bob Go work bro keep it coming! Question what colors do SOA wear black & White Red & Gold Green & white, red & white or blue, black, white?? Thanks for the help me my bros were talking about it.
By os on November 3rd, 2008 at 6:07 pmI am LOVING this show! I have seen every episode and I am on pins and needles awaiting the next one! I have a huge crush on JAX, my husband laughs… whatever… So, the funny thing is… I’m a nurse and when I watch shows like ER, I always criticize. I like the show but somethings always crazy unreal. I don’t know the first thing about bikes except they look pretty cool. I’m a middle aged women wishing I could ride on JAX’s bike, LOL! yi
By Jen from Michigan on November 3rd, 2008 at 6:37 pmDidn’t like the show at first. Hit my head a couple times. Maybe the blog will help keep some of the nonsense to a minimum. Starting to get into it now. Keep up the good work.
By Navajo13OP on November 3rd, 2008 at 8:09 pmOh yeah, I liked the comment on the bikes used.
By Navajo13OP on November 3rd, 2008 at 8:11 pmCan’t say much more than they match the clubs alluded to. Ass-candy is for the boulevard not the open-road.
I don’t know what else to say but that you f*ckin rock!!
By Butterfly on November 4th, 2008 at 11:35 amI have never really been into a show enough to blog about it but I love this show, maybe for its rawness or the fact that I am a sucker for bad boys. I hope this show has lasting appeal. Love the comments Fat Bob
By Amanda on November 4th, 2008 at 11:41 amFirst I love the show. I ride and have had some exposure to 1%ers. Don’t claim to know even a small amount, however from what I’ve seen it doesn’t appear that they would let Gemma have such a dominant role. Sometimes I wonder too why Halfsack is a prospect and Juice didn’t get center punched for leaving them with their !@$%s in their hands when they went after the Mayans (no clips). Any comments?
By Jody on November 4th, 2008 at 2:40 pmMe & the l lady ride a lot. We prefer hoodlum company. Despite the usual & correctly pointed out miscues, its still a blast to watch.
By mutt on November 4th, 2008 at 4:47 pmLike the old movies, tho, not enough wrenchin. (I built my fx shovel scrapin $ for parts. Its pushin 100K now, the gal has a FXR & a 06 RK)
Loved it when that creep ATF agent got thrown thru the window had the absolute crap beat out of him.
We need more of that sorta thing on TV.
Was at a BFer run last Sun, neat watchin the clubs roll in. Ditto at Sonnys bday couple weeks back.
Anyhow, found this here blog & ill keep up w/ yer musings, FB….
Hey- next scene where they need a bunch of ragged ass scooter trash passed out all over the clubhouse- i kin do that!
Fat Bob, thanks for the insights…and man, you’re right, either snap those damn helmets or go without (my personal choice).
Was in the life and then out of it for 20 years…back in again and it feels good…
Later! Keep the rubber side down!
Respects…
By Cajun WBVMC on November 5th, 2008 at 2:04 pmYeah who ever is stupid enough to not know that Fat Bob cant say his club name or what ever, they probibly have the inteligence of a fly…keep it up Fat Bob i check for blogs once a week…
By Shane on November 5th, 2008 at 2:53 pmI love the show and your blog. Forget the haters.
By Pix on November 5th, 2008 at 3:17 pmI saw the guy talking about Jax and his shoes.. had to respond…Bogan 10/28 - Hey the white sneakers just don’t go, I crack up every time I see them.
I love reading about what other clubs think about the show. I been around bikes almost my whole life, I love actually seeing a show about it and hearing about what other people think.
By Kat on November 5th, 2008 at 6:27 pmrock on brotha…I support ya 100%
By sandiegojon on November 5th, 2008 at 7:30 pm“Mom, don’t go in there! Mom!!”
By FreewheelinFrank on November 5th, 2008 at 7:40 pmThis from the VP of a 1% club????/
What’s next? “Jax, pull up your pants”. “Yes, Mommy”.
I’m thinking the club ought to change the name to
“Gemma’s Guys, MC(”Mommy’s Children)
Couldn’t agree more about finding myself waiting for the next episode. This show is awesome and just in time too. Well done FX, and FAT BOB your the man.
By Deeez on November 5th, 2008 at 9:09 pmLove your blog Fat Bob and love the show…I just wish my husband could watch it, but they frown on this kind of thing where he is currently. Oh well, he’ll get out one of these days, but until then I can send him your comments and he lives vicariously through your words. Thank you.
By Kitti on November 6th, 2008 at 7:35 amThe show is great entertainment. Its different from all the others out there. I am not a biker nor a biker chic but like it anyway. So tired of all the law/lawyer/doctor shows out there, it was time for a change. Thanx for the blog it gives me a real insight to the show as does the comments left. I now look forward to Weds. nites.
By Malinda on November 6th, 2008 at 9:24 amSo, what’s gonna happen with Bobby now that he’s been identified as a person of interest? And, it was just excellent to see the Fed Bitch get her face smashed!!
By Bogan on November 6th, 2008 at 10:00 amFat Bob,
By Needtires on November 6th, 2008 at 10:05 amTell these guys to stop wearin their colors in the car and watch for handshakes with gloves on or sunglasses. But on brotherhood I’m loving this, the life, the show, and connecting with riders. I’ve found more character in members with no BS among MCs than anywhere else. Not all, there are those that just get washed out, but I’ve seen young guys become good men and brothers because of.
What goes on the run… HOLY SH%T!! I’ve got a jealous one I FEEL your doghouse. But that means she loves ya, and the thing that gets her about her old man…sometimes they don’t like competition LOL. So very true if the woman isn’t in support she can break that guy down. I got an Opie, I’ve been Opie.
We get bashed, watched, studied, followed by any and every badge that doesn’t understand. and it all boils down to a family that takes care of its own. And it aint easy.
I’m just rambling waiting for the next episode since I finally have TV worth watching besides the Weather Channel
Luv the blog and the show. It is a pretty realistic depiction of what goes on in the outlaw MC world. I am speaking from the view of female. The comment that I will make is that I think they have given Gemma’s character a little too much power. I don’t think that is quite realistic. But what she goes thru with Clay when he is on the run, is totally realistic and it was quite painful to watch. Hits a little too close to home if you know what I am saying. For those that commented on your real name…. *&^% ‘em their idiots or maybe jus ignorant to the mc world. Either way, I agree … you don’t like the show or the blog ease off.
Rubber side down…
By koolbrz on November 6th, 2008 at 1:18 pmmelina wrote “JUST CUZ HE DON”T HAVE ON RED WINGS DON”T MEAN A THING”.
By FreewheelinFrank on November 6th, 2008 at 4:05 pmIf he did have on red wings it WOULD mean something…. that’s kinda an inside joke some older fellers might get…..
I wish this show was on every night. I look forward to my Wednesdays. I admire Gemma that is a real woman right there. You don’t find many of us it seems willing to do or die for the ones we love. I get mad at her pickin on Tara but then again she is a mom. At times I think she does it try and help tara out knowing all she knows its a hard life.
Keep up the blog its great to come on and see what you and others have to say.
By Tina on November 6th, 2008 at 5:17 pmIs it me or does Pearlman look scared (un natural) on the bike?
By D on November 6th, 2008 at 6:34 pmFat Bob, Getting better each week. I think Samcro should put a hit on the ATF bitch and whoever snitched on Bobby and Opie ( using their Intel ) and also tie in that dead ATF agent and set up the NORDS for revenge, that would be so cool..Keep it Real..Dawg 1%er
By Dawg on November 6th, 2008 at 10:25 pmHey FatBob
By Thom on November 6th, 2008 at 10:26 pmyou mention SOA swag
where can we get some?
Decided to leave my own little comment after reading so many other ones. I have only been around one MC in my life, not a major but a franchise player of one. Over the years I have seen things change with them, such as the clothes and bikes. I dont know anymore about them than that and dont pretend to. I watch gangland on the History channel too, it seems like most of the commentors on here do, because that is the **** they are spouting. If you aren’t a 1%er then dont pretend to know what they do or dont do.
The show is entertainment, hence the dramatization of a lot of events in it. I presonnaly like it and think it is a great show. Some mishaps, but hey that is with any show. I know the show ER has doctors and nurses that have consulted for them from the beginning. Well I am a Medic/Firefighter and can tell you they still make mistakes. Some are planned for the drama and some are just overlooked. **** happens people, get over it. Take it for what’s it worth, a tv show for money and ratings and enjoy it. Hell if you have to, have fun with catching their mistakes and leave it at that, dont get bent over about it.
As far as some of these guys saying you have to ride 4K miles a year to be a real biker, have to build and wrench your own ride, or even have to have a H-D, blow me. I am only 37 and have been riding bikes for 22 years. All rice burners because I dont actually care for H-D and wont pay the high ass price for them. They look great dont get me wrong and an investment they are but if I want to mark my territory everywhere I go i would hop off my bike and piss on the ground. Never been a fan of having to wrench to ride, so i buy dependable and not overpriced. But then again, like i said before, I dont pretend to know about being in a MC and dont try to. The way i feel it is simple. Ride for the feel of the open rode and freedom that it instills in you no matter what you ride. Hardcore for me is riding w/o a windshield, i dont like them, and i do go 500 miles a day sometimes. But most of all ride when you can on what you can, thats it. If you have a job and kids and can only ride on weekends so be it. But dont think you drop 20K on a H-D and buy some leathers that it makes you a biker when you’re not at the office. Thats a good way to get your ass handed to you by a real one. 22 years on two wheels and i dont even make that mistake. Ride it like you stole it and keep it between the ditches.
By Jester on November 7th, 2008 at 10:33 amfat bob i love the blogs… this new show is bad ass and im always looking forward to wednesdays. i think the SOA needs to retaliate on the mayans for goin after clay… also is nice to see jax finally pull the trigger especially on that atf creeper. peace
By Derek on November 7th, 2008 at 12:25 pmThe show keeps getting better and better. I was really looking forward to the series start, and was a little disappointed with the first show, but it’s really taken off from there. I’m a daily rider and have ridden for 16 years now in three different countries. Luckily, after retiring from the military, I live in a state without helmet laws, so makes it a whole lot more enjoyable. Love the blog, even reading some from folks with some ‘interesting’ points of view about bikers and the lifestyle.
Keep up the good work and enjoy the ride…
By Steve on November 7th, 2008 at 2:22 pmI do confess the show is a good pass time and entertaining. Some views would remind a real biker of true 1%ers, like the types of bikes they ride, the club-house and parties.
However some views kinda bring the show over the top, like having a cop present to discuss “club business”, or having Gemma and other ol lady’s knowing some or all club business of illegal conduct. Do you really think a 1%er club member would talk to an outsider (OL-LADY’S INCLUDED)?
about club business?
I watch the show because of my passion for motorcycles. As far as storytelling, I think the writers have a long way to go to even come close to identifying a real MC.
I have been around, and seen the real MC club operate. NO, I do not know their business, but I do know enough to show respect. To be around the scene as a supporter, you know how to act, and when to stay quiet, which is always! Always be yourself, and never try to be a patch holder without the patch. These guy’s always seem to get the ballpeen hammer over their heads, and never can figure out what it is they are doing wrong! LOL. QUIET COMICAL, To say the least. After reading some of these post’s, it looks to me their are a lot of wannabes out there!
Can someone tell me what “SAMCRO” stands for?
